Counselor
My name is Michelle Escobedo and I am starting my 21st year as a school counselor in the Canutillo ISD. I have been both an elementary and a high school counselor for the district. I have three beautiful children and an amazing husband. I enjoy sports, music and spending time with family.
The school counseling program at Reyes is designed to promote student achievement by enhancing the academic, career and personal/social development of all students. I collaborate with school personnel, parents and community to help create a positive school environment. Our school focuses on a positive school environment through our school wide expectations: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Kind. I conduct guidance lessons to all grade levels following the Character Counts Pillars: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. I offer group and individual counseling to students in order to assist with their achievement.
School counseling referrals can be made by parents, school personnel and student request. I encourage parents, students and staff to visit with me for questions or assistance with any academic, career and personal/social concerns.
