I was born and raised in El Paso and am a proud University of Texas El Paso Alumni where I received a Bachelor of Science degree. I am certified PK - 8th and ESL certified.  I began my teaching career in 2001 at UISD in Laredo Texas where I taught 1st and 3rd grade.  In 2007 my family relocated back to El Paso where I taught 3rd grade and technology at Mitzi Bond Elem. From 2013-2015 I worked for a charter school where I was the ESL teacher for 6, 7, and 8th grade, was the RtI teacher, campus bilingual coordinator and campus testing coordinator. I joined this amazing district in 2015 as an RtI teacher for Reyes Elem and Canutillo Elem. In 2016 I was assigned permanently to Reyes Elem as a 1st grade teacher then as the campus RtI/At Risk teacher.

I am also a proud Fighting Texas A&M Aggie, where I received my Masters degree in Education Administration.  I am also in the middle of completing my Certification in Language Therapy through the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.  I provide the dyslexia therapy reading program, Take Flight, for students with dyslexia and also provide intervention services for all grade levels.
